Aishwarya Rai and Deepika Padukone-Whose sense of style was more sharp and suited to the event?

It was the war of two beautiful  faces from India in the 63rd Film Festival in Cannes. While Aishwarya Rai is a more or less a familiar face in the Cannes, it was attended for the first time by the leggy actress Deepika Padukone. While Aishwarya has earned scathing remarks from designers for her fashion disasters earlier, it seems
that Deepika has impressed everyone in her first attendance itself.
While Aishwarya stuck to designer gowns with western cuts, Deepika made India proud with her choice of outfit-a beautiful, dazzling sari. Deepika has explained her choice of outfits by claiming that since she will be representing India at a global event, it was important for her to carry a bit of her country along with her at the foreign nation. She went completely traditional in the Cannes and people were stunned to see how the gorgeous sari highlighted those curves and made her look so very stunning.

The sari was in ivory color and it was complemented by gorgeous bangles, stunning earrings and finally a perfect bindi. The blouse was extremely sexy and gave a sneak peek to her flawless skin and perfect figure.

Aishwarya Rai, on the other hand, thought that gowns would be an ideal choice. Though she looked beautiful in them, it was nothing extra ordinary and we have become kind of used to seeing her in those outfits in the Cannes.

So, according to us, it is the Houseful girl who is clearly the winner in the Cannes. Though she is much younger than Aishwarya, her sense of style is extremely sharp and we think that she has made Indians feel proud with the choice of her outfit.
